The Sandrock

This is not a hotel built for scale. It is a place built for return.

Lynton, North Devon

Located on Longmead in Lynton, moments from the cliffs and walking paths of the Valley of the Rocks, The Sandrock is a four-star, adults-only coastal property with ten fully en-suite bedrooms, an intimate bar and private on-site parking.

Under Atelier & Grove, The Sandrock is being carefully repositioned as a refined coastal residence rooted in landscape, privacy and considered hospitality.

A Retreat for All Seasons

  • Private en-suite bathrooms
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Flat-screen television
  • Tea and coffee facilities

A Retreat for All Seasons

The bar and dining room remain central to the Sandrock experience.

Breakfast is served daily with both traditional and lighter options.

Evening dining offers seasonal, home-prepared dishes in a relaxed, resident-focused setting.

The bar provides a composed, welcoming space for guests and local patrons alike.

A peaceful elevation

Set above Lynton in a peaceful position on Longmead, The Sandrock is within easy reach of Exmoor's coastal paths, the Valley of the Rocks and the village centre.

It offers privacy without isolation and access without noise.

The stage is set

The Sandrock is entering a considered evolution.

Over time, the current ten-bedroom layout provides flexibility for reconfiguration into larger suites or design-led apartments, supporting extended stays and deeper engagement with the landscape.

A discreet wellness addition is planned, incorporating:

  • Indoor pool
  • Sauna
  • Treatment space

Design direction will align with the Atelier & Grove language already established across our North Devon portfolio, including curated artwork, layered textiles and a restrained material palette.

The Sandrock is not positioned as a traditional seaside hotel. It is a contemporary coastal house shaped by stewardship and place.
